On the 18th of April 2014, once again we held our meeting with our instructor Miss Azima at Sanggar Bahasa. We had given due date for to complete all the task that have been given by 25th of April.

In the group we had a discussion among our group members about the summary that we get from the Karaoke In English (KIE) that we had join this semester. We had discuss about two things which is "what do you get from the activity and what you have learn while you doing the reflection?" and "what your idea to improve Karaoke In English?"

What do you get from the activity and what you have learn while you doing the reflection?

  • We can learn some moral value that have in each of the song that we have choose while we go through the lyrics of the song.
  • We have learn hoe to describe the song and study tone and mood in that song while listen to it
  • We also become more confident to speak in English.
  • We can improve our English language, learn to pronounce the words correctly and understand the meaning of the lyric.
  • We being able to improve our listening skills while we heard the song and want to get the real word that have been use in the song.
  • We can learn to understand the meaning and teaching through song per tone and mode as well as to convince ourselves to speak in english.
  • By listening and singing the song, we can learn on how to pronounce certain words correctly and at the same time help us to improve our speaking and listening skills.
  • In reflection, by analysis each song help us to understand more the meaning of each song and this help us to learn some moral values from the songs that we choose.

What your idea to improve Karaoke In English?

  • We suggest that to improve KIE is by adding more choices of the themes and the song for example song that about give a spirit to the student.
  • In the future we can doing KIE with we list down the new words that we have learn from the song and get the meaning for it after we sing the song.
  • We suggest that instead of singing and upload the video song, we can choose one song to doing the performance as a class activity while we have a meeting with the instructors.
  • We also thinks that provide an opportunities for students to choose their own desired songs.
As a conclusion, all of us thinks that Karaoke In English (KIE) is fun activities,we had gain much benefits while doing this activities. We also had improve our English.

our song of "When I Was Your Man"

Here is the lyrics of the song,

"When I Was Your Man" - Bruno Mars

Same bed but it feels just a little bit bigger now
Our song on the radio but it don't sound the same
When our friends talk about you, all it does is just tear me down
'Cause my heart breaks a little when I hear your name

It all just sounds like oooooh…
Mmm, too young, too dumb to realize
That I should've bought you flowers
And held your hand
Should've gave you all my hours
When I had the chance
Take you to every party
'Cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby's dancing
But she's dancing with another man

My pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways
Caused a good strong woman like you to walk out my life
Now I never, never get to clean up the mess I made, ohh…
And it haunts me every time I close my eyes

It all just sounds like oooooh…
Mmm, too young, too dumb to realize
That I should've bought you flowers
And held your hand
Should've gave you all my hours
When I had the chance
Take you to every party
'Cause all you wanted to do was dance
Now my baby's dancing
But she's dancing with another man

Although it hurts
I'll be the first to say that I was wrong
Oh, I know I'm probably much too late
To try and apologize for my mistakes
But I just want you to know

I hope he buys you flowers
I hope he holds your hand
Give you all his hours
When he has the chance
Take you to every party
'Cause I remember how much you loved to dance
Do all the things I should have done
When I was your man
Do all the things I should have done
When I was your man

LIFE (WEEK 7)

On the 3rd of April, we has held our meeting at the foyer Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail. This week with the theme of life, we had choose song "If I Die Young" sing by The Band Perry.

our song of "If I Die Young"

Here is the lyric of the song..

"If I Die Young" - The Band Perry

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh, uh oh

Lord make me a rainbow, I'll shine down on my mother
She'll know I'm safe with you when she stands under my colors, oh,
And life ain't always what you think it ought to be, no
Ain't even grey, but she buries her baby

The sharp knife of a short life, oh well
I've had just enough time

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

The sharp knife of a short life, oh well
I've had just enough time

And I'll be wearing white, when I come into your kingdom
I'm as green as the ring on my little cold finger,
I've never known the lovin' of a man
But it sure felt nice when he was holdin' my hand,
There's a boy here in town, says he'll love me forever,
Who would have thought forever could be severed by...

...the sharp knife of a short life, oh well?
I've had just enough time

So put on your best, boys, and I'll wear my pearls
What I never did is done

A penny for my thoughts, oh, no, I'll sell 'em for a dollar
They're worth so much more after I'm a goner
And maybe then you'll hear the words I been singin'
Funny when you're dead how people start listenin'

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a bed of roses
Sink me in the river at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song

Uh oh (uh, oh)
The ballad of a dove (oh, uh)
Go with peace and love
Gather up your tears, keep 'em in your pocket
Save 'em for a time when you're really gonna need 'em, oh

The sharp knife of a short life, oh well
I've had just enough time

So put on your best, boys, and I'll wear my pearls.
